Your favorite quote: The Henry Ford quote, “Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t – you’re right”
Your message or mission statement: Scuba Adventures provides world-class dive certifications and scuba instruction unequaled in the metroplex.
With a centrally located, full retail shop, training center, and 18 ft deep pool, our 5 Star SDI/TDI rated facility is the only one of its kind in the DFW metroplex. Our facility has been a continuous dive shop since 1991.
In late 2019, our founders felt the industry needed more professionally run dive shops that were accessible to people of all ages and races. Using their experience as senior executives in the corporate world and as entrepreneurs, they have over 70 years of dive experience; countless dive certifications and a massive amount of energy and passion for growing the next generation of divers, instructors, shop owners and world travelers.
Scuba Adventures introduces men and women of all ages and races to the joys of underwater exploration and encourages them to dive, travel, and explore the globe each and every year.
Thus the name, Scuba Adventures!
Your latest endeavors and where they take place: We have partnered with Maira Thomas of Mar Hosted Dive Travel to provide a instructor led exotic dive vacation every month of the year. In addition, we rent an entire Aggressor yacht and fill it with just our dive family 2-3 times per year.
What efforts are you most proud of? Covid 19 had a massive negative effect on dive shops and dive related industries. We used that time to double up in our customer service, process improvement and marketing efforts. As a result we doubled our pre covid annual revenues and doubled them again in 2021. All organic, no acquisitions. The dive and retail world has evolved rapidly over the past ten years. Those that understand it will thrive while others will suffer and eventually close it’s doors. It’s our mission to go above and beyond the very best in the industry.
Anything else you’d like us to know? The world’s oceans have taken a beating the last few decades which has greatly reduced coral and marine life. Divers today don’t have the same opportunities to enjoy world class diving as much as divers in the 70-80s. We are thankful for the many organizations like Lionfish Divers who invest time and resources to fight against the sources of this damage.
