Lionfish Cooking
Lionfish is a bit firmer than Mahi Mahi and has wonderful tasting lean white meat that is delicious, with no oily or fishy taste at all. I’ve found through my travels that some people are afraid to eat Lionfish because they believe them to be poisonous. Surprisingly, Lionfish are not poisonous to eat although their spines do have venom in them! Once the venomous spines are removed, the Lionfish are completely safe to eat.
