Your message or mission statement: To support my husband Jay’s obsession with spearing lionfish.

Your latest endeavors and where they take place: For ten years my husband Jay and I vacationed throughout the Caribbean and Florida spearing lionfish. Four years ago we both retired and have since spent three months a year in Curaçao spearing lionfish. I spot and Jay spears. Our next trip is planned for January 16, 2022 – April 15, 2022.

What efforts are you most proud of? I’ve only speared a couple of lionfish and prefer to spot for Jay. Jay says I’m a much better spotter than he is and I increase his numbers significantly. I’m also safety manager and drag the surface marker when shore diving, So I don’t spear, clean or cook lionfish, however am always glad to eat the great lionfish ceviche Jay makes.

Anything else you’d like us to know? I’ve always enjoyed the beauty and tranquility of diving and I’m glad to help do a small part in maintaining the balance of the ecosystem.
